Three Key Facts Social Workers Can Use to Start Conversations about Long-Term Care Planning

Cost: FREE, thanks to the sponsorship of

The Bristal at York Avenue, The Bristal at White Plains, and The Bristal at Armonk

Presented by Lamson & Cutner attorney Julia Santo

Course Description:

Social workers are often on the front lines when an older adult is beginning to decline or when a health care crisis occurs. This course will discuss issues that social workers can bring to their clients’ attention to help them understand the cost of long-term care and why planning is crucial.

Planning is often in the best interests of the client as well as their partners, spouses, children and other loved ones. Key fact #1 – in New York, you don’t have to “spend down” all your money to access assistance in paying for your care.

Attorney Julia Santo will describe how to begin the long-term care planning process and what clients should look for when they take action. Sign up to discuss the details and learn the other facts!

These courses will provide 2.0 CEU credits to Licensed Social Workers, and will be held via Zoom interactive meeting.  Other Lamson & Cutner CE courses will be scheduled soon.

Lamson & Cutner’s interesting and useful CE Courses explain what you need to know about Estate Planning, Elder Law and Disability Planning.  Professionals who deal with older adults or disabled clients, in particular, can benefit from this valuable, concrete information.  Numerous attendees have also found the courses useful for their own personal family situations.

The material is presented in a way that is clear and easy to understand.  Partner David Cutner feels that educating professionals about the ways that they can help their clients to protect themselves is an important part of the firm’s outreach.

Learn about these laws and opportunities from the first law firm authorized by the NY State Department of Education to grant CE credits to Social Workers for Elder Law courses.  Our firm is authorized to grant continuing education credit to Licensed Mental Health Practitioners and Certified Case Managers as well. Discover the options that can be invaluable for your clients who have long-term health care or estate planning needs.

Q&A is encouraged during the presentation and at the end
