Sabrina Morrissey
"Absolute allegiance to the client."
If you can imagine an attorney with unwavering devotion to those she represents, a commitment to doing the right thing always, and who will fight to protect her clients with the ferocity of a tiger, then you've got a good idea of what Sabrina Morrissey is like. Sabrina truly lives and works by the traditional values of loyalty, dedication, consistency and quality. She sums that constellation of attributes up as "absolute allegiance" to the client.
Sabrina is Of Counsel to Lamson & Cutner, handling estates litigation, and guardianship and probate cases for the firm. L & C's Elder Law clients benefit from her special knowledge and skills. Prior to entering private practice, Sabrina was General Counsel for an international staffing firm, handling a broad spectrum of business matters. Clients whose asset profiles include corporate, partnership and other commercial interests gain the advantage of her insight and fluency in these areas.
Thoroughness is the main key to her success in court, according to Sabrina. "You've got to know the facts cold and cover all the bases before you ever step in front of a judge. Every client, and vulnerable seniors especially, deserve the very best preparation of which you're capable," she says.
Sabrina is passionate about defending the rights of the elderly and disabled, and in particular, those frail individuals who need the services of a legal guardian. In many instances, she secures safe oversight for those who've lost mental capacity due to dementia, Alzheimer's disease, catastrophic accidents and other serious maladies. In fact, the court has appointed her on several occasions to act as guardian to watch over the financial affairs of elderly individuals unable to act for themselves.
Sabrina graduated from West Georgia College, and received a Master's Degree from New York University. She earned her law degree from Brooklyn Law School in 1994, and is admitted to practice both in New York and New Jersey. She is a consummate jogger, having run 16 marathons. Living in Manhattan with her husband and law partner, Jim, she is fond of exploring New York City's many diverse and colorful neighborhoods.
