Tae Ethan Choi

"Great care and personal attention
to each and every client."

Ethan is Of Counsel to the Lamson & Cutner law firm. Ethan's practice focuses on Elder Law, trusts, estate planning, long-term care, planning for persons with disabilities and asset preservation. He concentrates on designing individualized solutions that are tailored to meet the specific needs of his clients.

Ethan began his professional career first as an accountant and auditor, and then as an attorney, serving "big business," including Wall Street firms, international banks, venture capital funds and large companies.

Ethan’s long-term commitment to volunteer work and helping disadvantaged children helped him develop a sense of empathy and patience, and ultimately caused him to pursue a different type of professional satisfaction. He decided that he wanted to be in a field of law where he could make a difference in the personal lives of individual clients. Gradually, he began to change the focus of his professional work to Elder Law.

Ethan now derives a deep sense of personal and professional satisfaction from helping the elderly in need and families dealing with some of the most stressful and difficult challenges in life. He also enjoys guiding clients through the complex maze of trust, tax, public benefits and property law. Ethan’s clients benefit from all the lessons that he has learned from a wide array of personal and professional experiences, and he firmly believes that a caring attorney who can give personal attention to the needs of each client can accomplish something important for the greater good.

Ethan is a member of the Legal Problems of the Aging Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, Elder Law Committee of the New York County Lawyers Association, National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Elder Law Section of the New York State Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
